Hot air balloon flights in Pamukkale are conducted early in the morning. Participants depart from Marmaris at around 02:00 AM. The one-way journey covers 220 kilometers and takes approximately 3.5 hours, including a short technical stop. During the journey, our guides provide breakfast in lunchboxes and cold beverages. The group arrives at the launch site in the village of Pamukkale by sunrise.
After receiving instructions from our professional pilot, participants are divided into groups of 20-22 people and take their places in the basket. The balloon flight takes place over the white terraces of Pamukkale, the ancient city of Hierapolis, and the village. You will have a unique opportunity to admire the natural beauty of the national park and explore its landmarks from a bird’s-eye view. Typically, flights last around 60 minutes, but the duration can vary depending on various weather factors. The flight duration is determined with the complete safety of the participants in mind and is not influenced by the pilot, guide, or tourists’ desires.
After the exhilarating flight, you will have the chance to visit Pamukkale, bathe in Cleopatra’s Pool, and explore the ruins of the ancient city. Our guides will provide a brief overview tour, recommend places to visit, and show you the entire infrastructure of the complex. You will then have 3 hours of free time to allocate according to your preferences.
On the way back to Marmaris, you will make a stop for lunch at one of the tourist restaurants near Pamukkale. Lunch is included in the excursion price and is served buffet-style. Drinks during lunch are an additional cost.
After lunch, you will visit the Varol textile factory, where you can purchase products at manufacturer prices. Following this stop, the return journey to Marmaris will commence and take approximately three hours, with an expected arrival back at the hotel by 18:00.
