For many centuries, Istanbul has been a melting pot of different cultures and religions, leaving a contrasting trace in the life of the modern city. Despite the distance between Marmaris and Istanbul, our agency offers a one-day excursion with a flight option. You will have enough time to explore the main attractions of the city.
The exact departure time from hotels in Marmaris depends on the hotel’s location and the flight departure time. This information will be provided by our operator one day before the excursion. Typically, departure time is around 03:00 – 04:00 in the early morning. Upon arrival at Dalaman Airport, you will be greeted by our staff member who will provide you with boarding passes for the Pegasus Airlines flight to Istanbul and assist you with the check-in process. The flight is scheduled for 08:15 and takes a little over an hour. Therefore, you will arrive at the new Istanbul Airport at 09:30.
Upon arrival in Istanbul, you will be greeted by a tour guide who will accompany you throughout the day and introduce you to this magnificent city. During the excursion, you will visit the Hippodrome, Sultanahmet Mosque, see the famous Hagia Sophia, now a mosque called Ayasofya, admire the beauty of the Topkapi Palace, and, if desired and for an additional fee, take a short sea trip along the legendary Bosphorus or visit the Egyptian Spice Market, which is located near the pier.
Between visiting these Istanbul attractions, lunch will be provided at one of the national restaurants. The lunch is included in the excursion price, but all drinks are paid for separately.
After completing the entire excursion program, you will have dinner at one of the cozy restaurants located on the shores of the Bosphorus and then head to the airport for the return flight. The departure is scheduled around 21:30, and by 23:00, you will arrive at Dalaman Airport, where our buses will be waiting to take you back to the hotels in Marmaris by midnight.
