You can go on a hot air balloon flight in Antalya by heading to the Denizli region to see the snow-white terraces of Pamukkale. This place is the second most important for organizing flights after Cappadocia.
130€ / 120£ / 135$
Excursion starts every Thursday and Sunday at 1 a.m.
Hot air balloon flights only take place early in the morning, so if you leave Antalya late at night, you’ll arrive at the launch site by sunrise. There, a professional team will be waiting for you to give you instructions. Once you take your place in the basket, the balloon will gently start to ascend.
You will be treated to incredible views of the snow-white expanses, painted in the crimson colors of the rising sun. The maximum height of the flights is 1000 meters, and the experienced pilot will skillfully maneuver so that you can see the most interesting details from different heights and angles.
Like a traveler from a fantasy novel, you will float in a bright hot air balloon over the calcium mountains and the ruins of the ancient city of Hierapolis. The flight will last about an hour, followed by a ceremonial awarding of certificates and congratulations.
After landing, you’ll have the chance to further enjoy the cultural part of the tour, with several hours of free time. You’ll visit the Cotton Castle, thermal springs, and the most interesting sights of Hierapolis, including the Martyrium of Saint Philip, the Necropolis, the Roman theater, Roman baths, the Temple of Apollo, and much more.
