Eagle Canyon is one of the most picturesque and unexplored spots on the entire Mediterranean coast. It’s a natural gorge formed by the Koprucay River. The majestic cliffs, reaching 400 meters, offer beautiful views of the reserve and the opportunity to take stunning photographs.
The excursion will start in the morning, after breakfast at the hotel. You will ride in fast and modern minibusses to the beginning of the forest road to Eagle Canyon, where your journey on open jeeps along the picturesque mountain serpentine will begin. The road allows you to fully enjoy the wonderful views of nature, the unique terrain, small picturesque villages, and of course, the ancient Roman bridge, Oluk.
Making a stop at the highest point of Eagle Canyon, you will have free time to take some vibrant photos and admire the beauty of the canyon. You will also be treated to lunch at a cozy local restaurant.
Turkey is rich in various ancient structures, ruins of ancient cities, and settlements. Our tour will continue with a visit to one of such places – the city of Selge, once a large and thriving place whose inhabitants were mainly engaged in agriculture and trade. The main surviving attraction is the amphitheater, which could accommodate 10,000 spectators. You will also see the ruins of watchtowers, city gates, a basilica, the temple of Zeus, and a necropolis.
Another stop on our tour is Adam Kayalar, or “Man Rocks,” located near the city of Selge. The unusual, elongated rock formations resemble people frozen in stone, hence the name of the place. Because of their fantastic appearance, these rocks are sometimes called the “Anatolian Cappadocia.”
The second part of your day will be filled with adrenaline, excitement, and enjoyable activity. At the rafting base, you will receive a full briefing and be provided with the necessary equipment.
The rafting trip takes place on the Koprucay River, which stretches 14 kilometers through the Koprulu Canyon, known as the rafting center on the Anatolian coast. Along the way, there will be several stops in picturesque spots where you can take a dip in the cool river, relax, and take plenty of wonderful photos.
Inflatable rafts, with a capacity of 8 to 12 people, are used for rafting, and the total duration of the trip is approximately 2-2.5 hours. After this fun adventure, you will have the opportunity to take a shower and change clothes.
As part of this thrilling journey, you will also visit the Little and Koprulu Canyons. A separate stop will be made at the Oluk Stone Bridge, which stands at a height of 27 meters. This majestic bridge was built by the Romans in the 2nd century AD and continues to serve to this day. You will ride through the countryside and charming villages, enjoying the natural wonders and a serene atmosphere.
